Fetty Wap & Teka$hi 6ix9ine Tease Rowdy Collab

As previously reported, on Thursday (Aug. 9), a Manhattan District Attorney argued that by getting arrested in Brooklyn and Houston, the "Gummo" rapper violated terms of his plea agreement established in the 2015 case when 6ix was 18. They are suggesting the rapper serve a one to three year jail sentence and register as a sex offender.

Since the news broke, Tekashi has seemed unbothered publicly. On Friday night (Aug. 10), he addressed the issue to his fans on Instagram.

"For the people who care, and the people that are making it a priority to care about my personal life, I want you to take a second and look at my case, right," he started. "Three and a half years ago, I'm not this famous rapper that has $10,000 to pay for this private lawyer. I had to settle for a public defender, a court-ordered lawyer, you know what I'm saying? At this time, I'm scared, you know what I'm saying? They're saying, 'Yo, you are going to get 15 years.' I'm like, 'No, I got a daughter on the way.' This 2015, I'm 18 years old. No, give me anything but jail time, you know what I'm saying? If you look into the case, this is just another story of a minority, a youth, being under the court system for me to fail."

He then addressed people who are saying he isn't taking this situation as seriously as he should be. "For the people saying, 'Yo, Tekashi, yo 6ix9ine, you not taking this serious.' I am. Trust me, I am. I'm just not gonna let that affect me."

He captioned the video, "I’m unbothered. I’ll continue to be myself what ever happens happens you can’t fight something built already for you to fail."
